The H.C. Porter Gallery is located at 1216 Washington Street in the historic downtown district of Vicksburg, Mississippi. Vicksburg is located on the bluffs of the Mississippi River about 40 miles west of Jackson, Mississippi’s capital city. With exciting revitalization, beautiful architecture, cool interesting restaurants, and a blending of our present-day with our nation’s civil war national park history, Vicksburg is one of Mississippi’s most popular tourist destinations. Historic Highway 61, as well as sections of the Great River Road National Parkway and the Mississippi Blues Trail, run right in front of the 19th-century four-story building which is now my home and signature gallery.

The Vicksburg Hipstoric Art Festival 2025
H.C. Porter invites you to the inaugural Vicksburg Hipstoric Art Festival, where hip art meets historical setting. Vicksburg’s Downtown Main Street area (Washington Street) will be lined with dozens of artists for the spectacular festival. The VHAF will also feature children’s activities, music, the Mint Julep Trail, the Legacy Show in the H.C. Porter Gallery and a special showing of the movie “Eudora” in the historic Strand Theatre.
